Peltier module TEC1-12706 – cool and heat with electricity
A Peltier module uses the thermoelectric effect: when direct current flows, one side becomes cold and the other hot. Heat is actively moved from one side to the other. The TEC1-12706 is compact at 40 x 40 mm and suitable for cool boxes, small coolers, chillers and DIY projects.
Key features
- TEC1-12706 model with 12 V nominal voltage
- Cooling capacity Qcmax: 58–65 W
- Compact size: 40 x 40 x 3.9 mm
- Maximum current: 5.8 A
- Connection cable already fitted (25–30 cm)
- Can be used as a cooling or heating element by reversing polarity
Matching accessories: Silverbead SG100X/SG100XS thermal adhesive, TC-009 thermal paste and aluminium heatsinks.
Important: The hot side must always be cooled with a sufficiently large heatsink, ideally with a fan. Operating the module without a heatsink can overheat and permanently damage it. The cold side should also be thermally connected so that the cold reaches the object to be cooled.
